Aprogramme to jointly celebrate the birthdays of the Great leaders of the Mulnivasis on 16th April

It is seen that people give offerings in the name of their dead forefathers once in a year on the day of Akshay Trutiya. This programme is held all over India. On this day people remember their family members who have passed away. Normally our people just give birth to children, rear them and marry them. And then they die after this work. They never do anything great. Our people lead a life similar to that of a cat or a dog or an insect. Even though their dead forefathers never did anything so great as to be remembered, still people remember them by giving offerings on the day of Akshay Trutiya. The lives of our great leaders were a lot different. They have played a great role in the liberation of our people. All of our great leaders had a common objective and that was to liberate us. If we can remember those who in comparison to our great leaders did nothing, then why can't we determine a day to jointly celebrate the birthdays of our great leaders to remember them? Keeping this in mind we decided to jointly celebrate the birthdays of our great leaders on 16th April 2006. We organized a National level programme at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on 16th April for this celebration.

A Grand Programme

BAMCEF has been continually organizing state conventions in different states; also National Conventions every year with good success. But for the first time in BAMCEF's history we organized such a colossal programme on 16th April. This programme's specialty was that it was a success in both quality and quantity.

An Impressive Programme

A few days before the programme a newspaper published from Mumbai printed the photo of the programme pandal. In this news-paper, adjacent to the photo, it was written that the ground i.e. Shivaji Park is a playground and should be used for such activities only and programmes such as ours should not be permitted to be held on the ground. This news was a matter of surprise as ft is the history of this ground that it was used more by different Political-Social organizations for their programmes than for sports like activities. And most of these programmes were organized by the Brahminnical parties and organizations. This newspaper never uttered a word of protest against their programmes as it is owned by the Brahminnical people. When we decided to hold our massive programme then the Brahminnical people started to protest. They started to behave as if the ground underneath their feet had slipped. Two or three days after the programme Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray said that ordinary people should not be given permission to hold programmes on this ground i.e. on Shivaji Park We can guage the far-reaching effects of this programme bythese two ex-amples. Our enemy never opposed us openly but now it has started to do so. This is an indication that the arrow that we have shot has hit its mark.

Message of Creation of Nation-Wide Move
ment
As we all know our great leaders struggle for our liberation and freedom. They ran their movement in their own ways. But what is the present situation? That movement has totally collapsed. In Maharashtra which is the Karma-Bhoomi of Shivaji-Phule-Shahu-Ambedkar [his leadership of the Republican Party of India is licking the feet of the Brahmannical parties. The situation is no different in the other states. Our great leaders had run their movements with a definite objective. But this movement slowly started dying. In such a situation we need to build a Nation-Wide movement for the liberation of the Mulnivasis It is our firm belief that the liberation of the Mulnivasi Bahujan is possible by building up a nation wide movement. Keeping this in mind we decide to jointly celebrate the birthdays of our great leaders on 16th April which would also be —we decided—a "Day of Creation of Nation-Wide Movement". For three months, from January to April, we launched a campaign to spread this message. This campaign was highly successful.

Development of Financial Resources

Ordinarily it is seen that only on the birthdays of our great leaders our people awake. Then they hail our great leaders by garlanding their portraits. They constitute Jayanti Committees for the occasion. After the Jayanti they soon start to rest again in peace. This has been going on continually. On the occasion of Babasaheb's Jayanti almost 25 corer rupees are spent every year throughout the country. They only talk of what Babasaheb has done. They only believe in Babasaheb but do not want to do the work that Babasaheb asked them to do. Babasaheb himself cautioned the people that excessive hero-worship will lead to destruction. But our people have conveniently forgotten what Babasaheb had said. They indulge in worshipping Babasaheb. We thought to divert at least one corer rupees from the 25-30 crore rupees spent on Jayanti celebrations to the movement in the first phase. We took efforts in that direction and we met with some success. Although we collect funds on the occasion of State Conventions and National Conventions, still the funds that we received on the occasion of 'Day of Creation of Nation-Wide Movement' were substantial. From the viewpoint of development and generation of financial resources, this should be deemed as a big achievement.

Development of Human Resources

No movement can succeed without Human Resources. The programme of 16th April was useful from the viewpoint of generation of Human Resources. It was the first time in the history of BAMCEF that people participated in the programme in such large numbers. Although such crowd was seen earlier in the programmes held at Shivaji Park, but it is a re mark able thing that for the first time at Shivaji Park, the intellectual class participated in such a programme to discuss seriously on the burning and relevant subjects. Thus it can be said that from the viewpoint of generation of human resources this programme was successful to a large extent.

Participation of Delegates from Abroad

Not only the public opinion in India but also public opinion at the International Level should favor us if we wish to solve the problems of the indigenous people of India. Keeping this in mind, BAMCEF, in the last five years, has made some attempts in this direction to mobilize international opinion. We have definitely got some success in our attempts. In the programme held on 16th April, Mulnivasi Representatives settled outside India also participated thus speeding up the process of building a strong International Network. We believe that we shall soon succeed in our decided objectives.

Impetus to the task of Creation of Nation
wide Movement
The Brahminnical system of this country divided the Mulnivasis (Indigenous People of India) in 6000 castes. The great leaders born in these different castes were victims of the caste mentality prevalent in our people. Our great leaders did not work for the liberation of a particular caste; they worked for the liberation of all. But people celebrate the Birthdays of their leaders in the confinement of their particular caste. If we start to celebrate jointly the birth days of our forefathers it is possible to free our leaders who have become victims of the caste mentality of our leaders who have become victims of the caste mentality of our people. The pace at which the work of Geographical Networking and Social Networking was going on has increased because of the participation of people of various castes in this programme. If we succeed in building these networks we shall succeed in building up a Nation-wide Movement. The programme of 16th April was highly successful. We only need to increase the speed of our activities. BAMCEF activists must seriously march forward in this direction.
